School Profile

There are lots of wonderful things happening both in and out of the classrooms at Meadowlark School.  We enjoy tremendous support from the Meadowlark parents and from the community at large and we are very proud of all of our students. Our dedicated, caring staff work closely with our students, our parents and the community. We are fortunate to have an active, supportive School Council and parents who are extensively involved in the school and their children’s education.

We are a school of approximately 445 students and about 30 staff members. In addition, our school leases space to the Edmonton Before and After School Care Centre (EASCA). As well as being a district site for the Mandarin Bilingual program, with bus service for our Mandarin students living in the West End and Riverbend, we offer an excellent community school experience for all students.

We have a strong focus on academic achievement with particular emphasis on critical thinking skills. Our students consistently achieve above the provincial average in Alberta Achievement Testing and Edmonton Public Highest Level of Achievement Tests.
